M.PHARMACY

M. Pharm is a two year Post Graduate course. This course is designed to give a complete and advanced knowledge and investigational skills regarding all aspects of drugs. This course comprises various subjects to give the information and practical skills regarding the synthesis /extraction of drugs, formulation of drugs into various dosage form like tablets, capsules injections etc, analysis of drugs and amount forms, testing of drugs and dosage forms on animals / human volunteers and the legal requirements for manufacture and sale of drugs and dosage forms by a company and discovery of new drugs and dosage forms. M.Pharm course is available in various interest subjects.

The first year comes with the study of assignments in two semesters. The second year is a research project work. At the end of the second year, the project work will be submitted in the form of a theory to the respective university.

Pharmaceutics : The department of Pharmaceutics was established in the year 2010 and affiliated to OSMANIA UNIVERSITY, Hyderabad. The Department is fully equipped with the state of the art laboratories. The strength of department is the dedicated, qualified and well experienced faculty members. . Later the intake in PG Programme has been increased to 36 in the year of 2011.

Pharmaceutical Analysis : The department of Pharmaceutical Analysis was established in the year 2012 and affiliated to OSMANIA UNIVERSITY, Hyderabad. The Analysis branch has a well designed laboratory .The department has well experienced and skilled staff who constantly strives for the Student Development.

Scope of M. Pharmacy

The objective is to train students so as to develop higher capability in both general and special areas of interest to meet the engineering demands, in terms of production, research and teaching.

Pharmaceutics

  • Drug development, formulation and expansion, production activities, validation, drug regulatory affairs etc.

Pharmaceutical Analysis

  • To produce a capable pharmaceutical analyst to meet the stress of the pharmaceutical industries in terms of analysis, control of materials (raw and finished), principles and fulfillment with regulatory bodies.
